A Year Of Progress

It has actually been more than a year of progress. It all started in my head when I decided that I was tired of being tired of everything: my credit score, my health, my life.

Yesterday was my birthday. This past year has been spent dedicating more time to honoring myself and making better choices in my life. Every now and then I think I should have made more progress than the roughly 25lbs I have lost over the course of 2018, but then I let that thought go and appreciate the fact that I've gained so much more than weight loss. I will probably always be a bit on the fluffier side and I'm okay with that. I'm naturally curvy and carry a lot of weight in my hips and thighs. I'm just glad that I can breathe again and that now I can move my body in ways that I could not a year ago.

The picture only shows the weight loss from February to October. It doesn't show the five minutes I take every morning to do a quick Spanish lesson to help keep my mind engaged and boost my morale because I have something else to feel proud of. It doesn't show everything in my life that has changed because I finally decided to do something about it. If nothing else, I finally know what it is to be committed to myself, for myself.

Ways I Increased My Energy

*This post contains affiliate links. This means that if you choose to purchase any of the products I link to I may receive a small commission. I only recommend products I have personally had a positive experience with. Purchasing any of the products mentioned is completely optional. There was a time when I could hardly make it through the day without almost involuntarily falling asleep. I’d wake up morning tired and by 3 PM I'd to pull my car over into a parking lot somewhere, put the sunshade in the windshield, recline the driver seat, and set my alarm to wake me up in thirty minutes. Aside from the fact that I wasn’t and still don't always get the recommended 8 hours of sleep every night, a major player in my lack of energy was due to my weight. I still have some pounds to lose but shedding thirty made a difference. Work and motherhood are enough to tire anyone out, but I couldn’t keep functioning that way. I had to make some changes before I could...

Dollar Tree B.Pure Vulva Cream Review

I was browsing my local Dollar Tree after I had already picked up what was on my very short list. I like to see what's available and then try to resist the urge to buy it. Since Dollar Tree increased their prices from $1 to $1.25, the overall quality of the products they carry has seemed to improve. I'm still hoping they go back to $1, though. I saw this B.pure Calming Vulva Cream in the store and it piqued my interest. (This review IS NOT sponsored.) Back Story You can skip ahead if you want to get straight to the review. I wanted to share a little back story in case it helps anybody in any way, even if it is to only bring some level of comfort to the person who thinks it is weird or shameful to occasionally itch in private places.  Moment of transparency: sometimes my vulva itches. Last I checked, I don’t have any STDs or STIs. I take a probiotic daily and drink lots of water. I’ve never experienced itching or supersensitivity on my vulva before no matter what type of fabr...

How I Plan to Lose 40lbs

There's no set schedule for this. My plan is to be 40lbs lighter by the end of 2021. I have done it before and I know the steps I need to take to do it again. It isn't easy. It wasn't easy losing it the first time. Sometimes I wish I could turn back the clock to 2018 when I was doing fairly well financially and I was in the best shape I had been in for quite a while. However, time has to pass and life has to happen. Admittedly, it was easier to stay consistent when I had a trainer, but that whole quip about life proved true and I don't have a trainer anymore. Let me backtrack to 2019 though. You can skim past this to the actual plan below if you're not interested in reading my entire spiel or you could try my workouts. I have an entire program including videos that I created in Google Classroom called Fit2BeMyself Masterminds. Join my class here . Sign up using your Google account. A little background... In late 2018, my personal trainer thought I had the potential ...
